The adorable boys were bundles of energy as they grew up and loved nothing better than getting out into the fresh air to play. Edward is full of memories of hanging out in his granddad Kevin’s garden every day. He says: ‘I remember our granddad used to go out on his tractor to cut grass for the local GAA club and bring our older brother Kevin with him. We thought Kevin was the coolest kid. ’ Edward narrowly avoided injuring himself when he decided to take the family’s ride-on lawnmower for a spin.
The boys loved spending Christmas in their grandparents’ house and can recall the excitement of waiting for Santa to come. Edward says, ‘I can remember that every year around Christmas, our granny would give us our granddad’s wellies and we would put on loads of pairs of his socks and go outside into the snow. Every single Christmas, when it was cold outside, we would throw water outside of the door to make an ice-rink. It was like in Home Alone, when the little boy put all of the water on the steps.

They had something that I saw in them from the very start, and of course, Simon claimed this was just because they were from Dublin.
